Yay! My first outfitpost on charlieintheuniverse.com!
Spring is coming and I couldn’t be more excited. I love to wake up under a pastel blue sky and hear the birds sing. I love to go outside more often again and to just play, jump, feel, live.
A while ago I really started to love fashion more and more. I love expressing myself through outfits and letting my feelings shine through my outfits. I find it super important to find your own style & not follow the crowd, and to wear what you feel super slaying in, not what everyone is wearing. To be yourself. It doesn’t matter what you look like, because when you wear something you feel confident in, you will radiate and always look pretty. Self confidence is the best outfit ❤
So I started to be more and more into fashion, which is why I love to share outfit posts on my blog. (I’ve done quite a lot of them on Happy and Veg.) But I am a big idealist and animal rights activist, and I follow @kristenleo on instagram. She shares a lot about ethical fashion and why you shouldn’t buy clothes at big stores, where your clothing is made by underpaid workers (often children) in dangerous circumstances. I educated myself about the subject, because I’m not only an animal rights activist, but I also stand for human rights. I want no one to suffer for me. I want to change the world. I want the world to be a beautiful, safe and kind place for everyone. So I am the change I want to be. I only buy secondhand now, which is much more fun and way cheaper. (And no, I don’t find it disgusting that someone already wore this. What I find disgusting is if child slaves make my clothes.) This whole outfit is secondhand, yay!
Lately I’ve realized that almost my whole closet is vintage. The thighs and jeans jacket I’m wearing here are secondhand (they used to belong to my mom), I got the shirt for free from a girl (so secondhand, too) and the shorts are thrifted (vlog coming asap!). More and more often, I realize throughout the day that everything I’m wearing is vintage, and it’s the best feeling ever, I love it.Love, Charlie xox
Ps: Thanks Rosie for taking the pics! I love how they came out. Rosalie is my little sister and she’s probably starting a blog soon, too! I took pictures of her outfit as well, so stay tuned for those!
